Craftsmanship

At Heimr, Norwegian craftsmanship and cultural heritage are central. We draw inspiration from traditional bunad silver and combine historical details with a modern expression.

We wish to carry on traditional craftsmanship through jewelry that unites past and present.

Traditional bunad silver has, through generations, been shaped by skilled silversmiths. Various techniques, shapes, and ornaments have created the great diversity of bunad silver we know today.

For Heimr, this craftsmanship is an important source of inspiration. We wish to preserve the traditional expressions while interpreting them in new ways.

From tradition to modern product

Our design process is based on traditional shapes and details from Norwegian bunad silver.

Through modern design and production methods, we wish to unite historical expressions with today's aesthetics. The goal is to create jewelry that preserves the traditional symbolism, but which at the same time fits into a modern everyday life.

The details in the design

Each piece of jewelry is developed with a focus on shape, details, and symbolism.

We draw inspiration from traditional brooches, Norwegian ornaments, and Norse mythology. The historical elements are interpreted through a modern expression, while we wish to preserve their original character.

Each design has its own story, where both the name, shape, and details are chosen with a purpose.
